Diasters & Emergency Preparedness

BAHA has been informed by LAPD that our area in the hills will be low priority when disaster strikes with city resources focused on more populous areas. At BAHA, we believe being prepared for emergencies is one of our most important missions.

• We have previously held emergency training at the Roscomare Road School and will continue to promote members of our community receiving CERT training. Upcoming CERT training class opportunities can be found here
• We keep Emergency Supply Barrels at various locations throughout the BAHA community for our members' use when disaster strikes.
• Please let us know if you are a DOCTOR OR TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. We do our best to keep a list of trained medical professionals in the area in case of a major disaster.
• When emergencies strike, it's imperative that you already have a family plan in place and your own emergency supplies. Below are some helpful resources to help you figure out how to best protect your family and be prepared.

NotifyLA is the City of Los Angeles' official mass notification system used to send voice messages, text messages and email messages to residents and businesses during times of emergencies and disasters. Notifying the public when a disaster strikes might be the one and only safeguard the public can count on to save their lives and protect their property.
