Residents on Roscomare Road will be allowed to return to their homes as of 8pm Thursday evening. However, upper Linda Flora remains closed. The fire, which broke out at 4:52 Wednesday morning on December 6th is currently 20% contained but severe red flag warnings remain in effect and firefighters are carefully watching for hot spots. Hundreds of firefighters, six fixed-wing aircraft and a number of helicopters were deployed to combat the fire and many remain in the neighborhood. Our hearts go out to our neighbors who have lost or had damage to their homes. Right now the count is 4 homes lost and 12 damaged. You can follow where the fire is burning with this map. https://maps.nwcg.gov/sa/#/%3F/34.0904/-118.4733/14

If you wish to do something for the fireman who have been working relentlessly to protect Bel Air and other neighborhoods affected by the fires, LAFD requests that you give donations at supportlafd.org/donate/
